The Things Every Parent Should Know Before Bringing

Their Child to Class!

Thank you for signing your child up for classes at Inclusion Dance. Our classes increase confidence, coordination, memory, self-expression, social skills, school classroom performance, and help your child make friends. You have put your child on a path to success!
Acro dance, gymnastics, competition, focus teamwork.

What to wear!

Hair: If the student has longer hair, make sure their hair is free from their face and in a tight bun, braid, or ponytail for class. Attire: Ballet: Black leotard, pink tights and pink ballet shoes (if you don’t have these items yet, feel free to wear any tight fitting clothing that moves freely). If you don’t have dance shoes, wear gym shoes that are not worn outside. *Ballet shoes will be provided by Inclusion Dance. Other Dance classes: Tight fitting clothing that moves freely, black jazz dance shoes. If you don’t have dance shoes, wear gym shoes that are not worn outside. *Dance shoes will be provided by Inclusion Dance. Gymnastics and Acro: Tight fitting clothing that moves freely, leotards can also be worn. Gymnastics Shoes. If you don’t have gymnastics shoes, wear gym shoes that are not worn outside. *Gymnastics shoes will be provided by Inclusion Dance. Ninja Warrior Parkour: Loose fitting, free moving clothing, gym shoes that are not worn outside. If you sign your child up for the class, they will receive a Ninja Monkey shirt that they will wear to class each week. NO JEANS, KHAKI PANTS, OR BDU-TYPE PANTS. NO JEWELRY. If you have any questions on where to get appropriate attire. Ask any member of staff and we will help you out! *You do not need dance/ballet shoes right away, Inclusion Dance can size your child and order them for you. As part of our all-inclusive pricing, dance, ballet and gymnastics shoes will be provided by Inclusion Dance. For dance and ballet classes, the students can wear just socks to class until we get them shoes. For gymnastics class, they can wear gym shoes (not worn outside) until we get them gymnastics shoes. If you already have shoes, your child can wear those until they grow out of them, then we will buy them a pair at that time. Only one pair of shoes provided per year per child (Inclusion Dance will purchase dance, ballet, and gymnastics shoes for one child if that child is in all 3 types of classes).

What to expect when you arrive on your first day!

Crystal Falls Location

Address - 401 Superior Ave; Crystal Falls, MI 49920 (2nd Floor) Parking - Parking at the Crystal Falls location is limited. There are five spaces available in the alley, street parking available in front of the building on either side of the road (on Superior Ave), a parking lot behind the building (on Marquette Ave) across from the green apartment building, as well as parking available in the car dealer lot to the west of the building (after the car dealership business hours please). Entering the Studio - All Crystal Falls classes are held in the Upper Level of the Crystal Falls City Hall. There is a door in the front but west side of the building. Enter here, and go up the stairs. There is an elevator for use (ONLY IF NEEDED) on the far right side of the building, all other students and parents must use the stairs to the front of the building. When you enter the building, please go up the 2 flights of stairs and into the auditorium. Have students take off their coats and shoes and place them into the purple cubbies. Find an available X on the floor and wait for the teacher to bring you to the area where your class will be held.

Florence Location

Address - 748 Central Ave, Florence, WI 54121 - Lower Level in Dance Room Parking - You can park in the parking lot on the west side of the building next to fitness center entrance (this is a locked entrance, use the back entrance for Inclusion Dance classes). You can also park along the highway in front of the building. Entering the Studio - Follow the signs that explain which door to enter through. Please enter the building in the very back corner of the building. Most of the classes will take place in the lower level of the Encore Ballroom building. Some of the classes will take place upstairs in the ballroom itself. Use the BACK entrance to enter the building. Go down the stairs and turn right. There is a waiting room for Inclusion Dance classes. There is no handicap entrance into the lower level of the building. Please have the students take off their coats and shoes and place them under the benches in the waiting area. Wait in the waiting room for the teacher to bring you to class.

Iron River Location

Address - 3257 US-2, Iron River, MI 49935 (Gym & Room 105) Parking - Parking is available across the road from the school on Rogers street in the old tennis court as well as the street itself, the main school parking lot (limited spaces), and behind the school on First St. Entering the Studio - All Iron River Classes are held in the Bates School in room 105. Enter on the left side of the building (not the main doors in front). Look for signs to guide you. Enter through the gate that leads to the playground. When you enter the building, please have the students take off their coats and shoes and place them into the cubbies (in the hallway, next to the door to room 105). Wait out in the hallway for the teacher to let you into the room (NO OUTSIDE SHOES ON THE DANCE FLOOR). The entrance is handicap accessible.

Drinks, Snacks, and Food

There are drinks and snacks in each location. There will NOT be a receptionist on location. This means kids and their parents will need to get the drinks and food on their own and pay using the teal colored drop box. Please bring exact change or write a check for your student (make out to Inclusion Dance). All money from drinks and food goes to our Inclusion Assistance Fund which helps some students pay for part of their tuition at Inclusion Dance. Florence & Iron River have limited sweets and snacks and no meals (each location only has a couple classes on only one day a week, so we don’t need as much).

Ninja Warrior Parkour classes are divided by age, not skill level. Each student can go at their own pace and skill level. Whether you are super athletic or not-so-much, just pick the age level for your class. No previous skills are required for any class level. Dance Classes and Performance Team classes are divided by age, not skill level. Each student can go at their own pace and skill level. Whether you are super athletic or not-so-much, just pick the age level for your class. No previous skills are required for any class level. Ballet classes are separated by age AND skill level. Angelina Ballerina is for Ages 5 ½ - 7. Beginner Ballet is for 7 ½ and up and new to ballet. Intermediate ballet is for students who have taken beginner ballet previously for at least a year. Advanced ballet is for students who have taken intermediate ballet for at least a year. Gymnastics, Acro, and Competition Classes are separated by SKILL LEVEL. For skills needed for each class, please read the information provided on this page.
